Pico De Gallo

Pico de gallo is a simple fresh salsa (sometimes called salsa fresca and salsa crudo) that goes well on just about anything.

  • 1 cup white onion - finely chopped
  • 2 medium jalapeno peppers - stemmed, seeded, and deveined, finely chopped
  • 1 large lime - juiced
  • 1 tsp. kosher salt
  • 1 1/2 lbs. ripe red tomatoes - cored and seeded, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup cilantro - finely chopped


  • Chop everything, then mix it all together.
  • Let sit covered in the fridge for a couple of hours to allow the flavors to marry.
