Duritos and Tajin™

Duritos and Tajin are an excellent snack to keep in your pantry to cook whenever you like. They're excellent for the kids or as a bar snack.

  • In your Dutch oven, over medium-high heat, preheat 2-inches of vegetable oil until it reaches 350 to 375 degrees.
  • Add 5 duritos and cook, stirring constantly with your spider strainer, for about 7 seconds. They will initially sink to the bottom of the pot, then puff and start floating.
  • Remove to a large paper-towel-lined bowl, then fry the balance of the duritos in batches of 5.
  • Sprinkle the Tajin™ Seasoning over the duritos and toss to coat evenly. Use it sparingly, it has a strong flavor.
